Britain's Royal Mail is issuing its first dinosaur stamps in more than 20 years, featuring 10 species whose fossilised remains have been found in the UK. The stamps go on sale 10 October, just two months before the 3D movie version of "Walking With Dinosaurs" will be released in cinemas. The film is based on a 1999 BBC television series that was a big hit with viewers.

"The stamp designs in this issue are printed such that the creatures 'break out' of the self-adhesive stamp frame, so there is not a clean straight edge to the stamp," says Royal Mail. Click for the version of the complete Royal Mail press release.
