I have learned so much, not just about philately but also about how to most effectively present and describe material. I made so many great friends: judges, fellow exhibitors, others who collect the same/related material. The related travel was fantastic; I’ve been to many places I would otherwise have never visited. I would encourage anyone with a modicum of interest to give it a try.
