I don’t want to talk politics here, but I don’t see it. If the USPS were to raise rates “on schedule” in January, it would affect inflation in the next presidential administration. It has no effect now, except to provide some optimism on inflation now, during the Biden administration.

Also, I think DeJoy is so focused on his legacy as the PMG who turned around the USPS that he wouldn’t risk that.

DeJoy has been adamant about raising prices twice a year but now thinks he can wait until July 2025 – AFTER the election – to do it again.
